Fall Means Jackson's Orchard!
If you've ever lived in Bowling Green, you know that there is nothing better than October at Jackson's Orchard!
First we went on the hayride to pick out our very overpriced pumpkins.
Then we struggled through the waist high corn maze! Can you find Christian in the maze? It's like "Where's Waldo?"
Look! All the kids are looking at the camera and no one is crying!
The end result! Beautiful pumpkin creations!
You Can Never Have Enough of the Trampoline!
I'm sure you've all had enough of the trampoline but the hair was too funny to pass up!

Say Cheese!
Hannah went to the doctor yesterday for a bad cough and congestion. Poor girl was diagnosed with a bad cough and congestion AND 2 ear infections. The good news is that she finally weighs over 20 pounds (21.7), the bad news is that her pants may always need safety pins. She still wears 9 month clothes! This is what she looked like yesterday.
It's amazing what a little amoxicillin can do! These are not 3 unfortunate pictures of Hannah with her eyes closed. This is what she does when I say "Smile!". This does not bode well for future school pictures.

It's Important to Try New Foods
Hannah thought our weekend visitor, Phoenix, was great fun! She thought his food was even better. At one point she actually took his food out of his mouth so that she could try it. To be fair, she also took a piece of his food out of her mouth to give to him! It's about give and take in any relationship! By the way, that is his food dish that she keeps going for!
Priorities
Cassie makes sure her lipstick is perfect but fails to brush her hair. Sometimes lipstick just wins. Those of you who know me understand that I often feel the same!

Christian is constantly badgering people to wrestle him. Today he met his match. Who knew Paul could roll around like that?

Photos from the Conference
For those of you that are interested. Here are some photos taken by Mark, the store manager of the Jackson, Mississippi store. He was so nice to send them all!

Patrick Lencioni, author of The 5 Dysfunctions of a Team, trying to get us psyched to talk about our dysfunctions. We spent a whole day discussing this. He was actually a fantastic speaker!
Look! I'm a top performer!! In all categories!!! And I'm old!!
This is my boss (the guy on the far left) and the other managers in my district. We spent a lot of quality time together this week!!!! I'm not drunk in this photo but my face just does this whenever a camera is near.
The Barenaked Ladies once again entertained us, mildly poked fun at us, and called hecklers onto the stage to berate them in front of their peers!
We had wonderful authors! Except Alice Sebold, she was dreadful. Very disappointing since her books are so great. Jodi Picoult told fascinating (for book geeks) stories of her research. She is very bubbly and energetic. I think if I met her in the grocery or someplace we would be friends. Peter Yarrow (from Peter, Paul and Mary fame) is a warm and fuzzy hippy with diva tendecies. He kept sing-songing peace stories, then screaming at the sound guys. David McCullough is like a grandpa that you want to hug. He spoke sweetly about his family and gave props to his wife for organizing him and their life. Oh, and did I mention that he is brilliant? Tom Brokaw, well he quite a storyteller. What brings them all under one roof? They each have a new book coming to your Barnes & Noble this fall.

Mama
Hannah has always called everyone she loves "Mama". She calls Christian "Mama", she calls Cassie "Mama, Holly, Grandpa, everyone! She simply refuses to say anything different. She can say "Duke" (our black lab) but she can't say "Daddy"!
