I, on the other hand, went to Lowe's, bought a plant and put it out front. I understand that the second part of this should have been....then I watered it, and sang it songs and it thrived throughout the long, hot summer. Sometimes it's hard enough to get myself watered.

You have many other good qualities. Don't let it get you down. Hannah likes to fill things with water and dump it out, maybe you could put her in charge of watering the plants....
You can't be too hard on yourself. You have A LOT of children. Plus, Robert is just the slightest bit afraid of me and I make him help me sometimes...
By the way, what the HELL did you do to that poor plant?
