Florida Part II

The ride home was pretty eventful. Hannah had a very high fever and was shivering. I started getting very worried around Atlanta so we stopped at an emergency room there. 3 hours later we learn that she has an ear infection in both ears. She got a shot of an antibiotic and off we went! The rest of the trip she was pretty groggy. Holly, Christian and Cassie were all great and helped out so much at the hospital. Actually, Christian, at some point, requested that we take the bus home so that he and Paul could just get going!

Florida or Bust!

Have I mentioned that Hannah is not a good traveler? Well, we decided to test that once again by driving 10 hours to Florida to visit Grandma Vilas and Grandpa Dennis. Hannah was afraid that she would miss something exciting so she didn't sleep a wink. We made it in 15 hours, but one of our first stops was Walmart for earplugs for everyone. While in The Villages, Florida, we drove golf carts everywhere, danced at the Town Square every night, swam, and ate ice cream. We spent one day in the Magic Kingdom, just an hour away. Disney World was great! We went on Father's Day thinking that the lines would not be bad, but it was as crowded as I have ever seen it. It was pretty hot, but the kids had water misting fan things and could hardly stop spraying each other. Hannah stayed behind at The Villages as it is just mean to bring a baby to the Happiest Place on Earth in June. We also went to a water park. The rest of the time we just hung out around the pool. Grandma and Grandpa were the perfects hosts and entertained us all week. No one wanted to leave and Christian says that he will retire there!

Summer Pool Fun for Everyone!

This summer we have spent many hours in the pool. The kids at our family pool in the neighborhood, Hannah in her kiddie pool and Paul building our new pool! Everyone knows that the best way to end a drought is to dig a huge hole in your backyard! It may be quite some time before we can pour concrete!
